I incorporate a variety of different sound healing tools into my sessions.  One of my mentors shared early in my practice that energy moves best when carried by soundwaves, and I've certainly found that to be true in my 13+ years of helping clients heal using sound.

 

Singing bowls are the main star: a collection of both crystal and metal bowls, all with their own character and affect.  I think of singing bowls as being like targeted tractor beams.  The bottom of the spiral of energy they emit locks on to the dense, compacted energetic imbalances in the body and the top "mouth" of the spiral forces that energy upwards and away from the body, where it can either be recycled and redirected back in the body as something new, or simply moved out into another field away from yours. 

The energetic movement of singing bowls can be small, sharp and laser-effective, like a scalpel; or they can be broad, diffuse and intense, like a depth charge.   It can be quite a ride, being immersed in their sound fields and watching old, stuck things in your physical body and field suddenly move and change when being met with the force of an intentionally-focused soundwave.

I also utilize a full set of harmonic tuning forks, which are analogous to acupuncture needles in some ways.  While singing bowls tend to latch onto energies and move them out, tuning forks typically focus into the body, and vibrate deeply into the material parts of you, rippling frequencies outwards from a focal point and disrupting or breaking up stuck energies. 

The experience can be intense, deeply relaxing, or, quite often, both.   Clients typically get up from their personal sound bath and notice how much lighter and clearer they feel.
